Sling & Stone, the consumer PR agency purpose built for challenger brands, is delighted to announce some very exciting additions to our roster in the APAC region, where we have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore and Auckland.
In Australia, Sling & Stone welcome LUSH, Too Good To Go, Yoto, ACON, RMITO and 4Pines. These brands join other big wins for Sling & Stone this year including Domino’s, Rothy’s, Greystar and Carma.
Kasi Talbot, Global Head of Consumer PR:
“The calibre of brands we’re getting the privilege to work with this year is outstanding. It’s a tough market for consumer-facing brands right now but these brands are bucking trends and connecting with their audiences in clever, creative ways. It’s exciting to be on board, guiding their brand strategy, communications and storytelling.
“We have such a deep expertise launching and growing challenger brands and new kinds of products and services now, after maintaining this focus for 14 years, but it continues to be a real thrill as the landscape we play in evolves rapidly.”
LUSH
One of the world’s most iconic cosmetics brands, LUSH, has selected Sling & Stone to run its creator marketing and community building events in Australia. This is a global expansion for our work from New Zealand, where we won a competitive pitch in 2023 with LUSH across earned media, brand activations and creator marketing. LUSH is known for its bold marketing and for-purpose stance on issues, including its infamous Big Tech Rebellion — which makes it a perfect fit for our breed of brand storytelling.
Too Good To Go
We’ve helped start a revolution in Australia by launching the world’s largest online marketplace for surplus food, Too Good To Go. Too Good To Go was founded in 2015 in Copenhagen to fight food waste. In 9 years, the company has grown to over 100 million registered users across 19 countries and has helped to save over 350 million meals from being wasted. That’s the equivalent 945,000 tonnes of CO2e avoided.
Sling & Stone was selected by Too Good To Go to lead the company’s Australian launch with an earned media strategy which has resulted in over 6,000 Surprise Bags of food saved from going to waste and we’re just getting started.
Yoto
We’ve also helped start a different kind of revolution, winning a competitive pitch to launch globally loved kids audio brand Yoto into Australia. Yoto is a screen free, ad-free, mic-free audio player and content platform that puts kids in control of what they listen to and opens up a world of imagination, creativity and independence.
As the only consumer PR team on the ground in the market, Sling & Stone has led Yoto’s launch via an integrated campaign including a major consumer facing event, earned media, creator and community management which has (happily) resulted in the product selling out.
ACON
Expanding our for-purpose roster is ACON, Australia’s largest and New South Wales’ leading HIV and LGBTQ+ health organisation. ACON is the creative lead on developing and implementing the National “Own It” Cervical Screening Campaign. Sling & Stone won a competitive pitch for this federal government-funded initiative working in partnership with several leading health organisations. The aim of the “Own It” campaign is to increase awareness and participation of cervical screening among First Nations, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, and LGBTIQA+ communities, via an integrated earned media and creator marketing campaign.
RMITO
RMIT Online has revolutionised online learning, creating an interactive digital learning environment committed to future-proofing the Australian workforce. Sling & Stone has been engaged to drive brand awareness and course uptake among everyday Australians across both earned and social media, encouraging Aussies to take ownership of their skills development, as well as targeting HR decision makers looking to upskill their teams.
4 Pines
Another for-purpose brand joining our agency is the award-winning, BCorp certified brewery, 4 Pines. 4 Pines not only makes great beer but is a force for good. Our remit is across corporate and consumer communications and brand building for 4 Pines, kicking off with the famous Pink Beer brewed in support of the McGrath Foundation, launching at the Pink Test Australia vs India in January.
