Elvie, the British female health brand taking women’s tech out of the dark ages has selected PR & Communications agency Sling & Stone to support its brand awareness program in Australia.
Since 2013, Elvie has been on a mission to empower women through radical technology. From “leaking” billboards to giant inflatable breasts flying over London, Elvie is shaking up the status quo by challenging taboos and driving awareness of women’s health issues.
Elvie was founded after CEO and internationally recognised women’s health expert Tania Boler realised the overwhelming lack of support for new mums from pregnancy and beyond. Despite being knocked back by male investors who didn’t see the value in health products for women, Boler brought together a team of world-class engineers, designers and business minds to redesign the existing outdated women’s health medical devices into modern consumer technology products that could be used at home.
Sling & Stone has been engaged to launch Elvie’s innovative products down under, kicking off with the award-winning Elvie Trainer. Developed after Boler discovered 1 in 3 women will experience pelvic floor issues in their lifetime, it is a smart Kegel trainer for your pelvic floor, the muscles that play a crucial role in core stability, bladder control and overall well-being.
Kasi Talbot, Global Head of Consumer, Sling & Stone:
“Elvie is a trailblazer in the women’s tech space, with its innovative and accessible technology that improves the lives of women of all ages. While women’s health issues have historically been ignored or downplayed in the media, Elvie has become well known for bold marketing campaigns that put women’s issues on the mainstream agenda. It’s a perfect partner fit for Sling & Stone with our dedicated focus working with disruptive challenger technology brands, and we are excited to be working with such a stellar team to bring Elvie to more Australian women.”
Laura Bevan, PR and Communications Lead, Elvie:
“Sling & Stone was absolutely the right choice for Elvie in the Australian market. Their skills, passion and creativity in how Elvie can connect to an Australian audience is second to none, and they’re in tune with the nuances that come with representing a women’s health brand. We couldn’t have found a better partner who believes in our mission, and shares our vision and values.”
